Russian submarine SC305 found in Swedish water! |

The submarine that is of Russian origin sank in 1942 after an encounter with the Finnish navy. It has the designation SC305 and was found at a depth of 136 meters (446 feet) just outside the city Grisslehamn between Sweden and the Åland Island. It was found with the, Swedish Sonar Services AB's side-scan sonar SH-system. |

According to the history it was gunned down and rammed by the Finnish submarine called Vetehinen the 5’Th of November 1942. All of the crew (32 people) on the SC305 died when the ship went down to where it today rests in the mud, and is considered to be in very good condition considering the circumstances. |
